Northern CAN leaders meet Buhari, call for immediate stop to the killings in Nigeria

 

Members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the north have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to bring an end to the killings across the country.
The association made the call when its leaders in 19 Northern states and Abuja met with the president at the State House on Thursday.

The Leader of the delegation, (Reverend) Yakubu Pam, said all those involved in the senseless killings of innocent Nigerians must be brought to justice irrespective of religion or ethnicity.
He also said CAN is eager to see what actions the president will take to end the menace.
Also present at the meeting were the SGF and the governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Lalong.
